For treatment of varicose veins caused by symptomatic venous insufficiency, the patient's insurance company must preauthorize Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT). Our billing staff will submit all required paperwork after your consultation. Your insurance company will review evidence of medical necessity acquired during your consultation and the company will determine whether the recommended treatment is covered service under your plan. If the procedure is covered, you may still be responsible for a deductible and a percentage of the cost if your plan does not provide 100 percent coverage. You will be given an estimate of your out-of pocket expenses before your procedure.
In the event that the recommended procedure is not a covered service or is solely cosmetic, as in the cases of sclerotherapy, hair reduction or facial aesthetic procedures, Vein and Laser Specialists are pleased to offer you interest free financing through Chase Health Advance or CareCredit. As always, it is the patient's responsibility to pay for non-covered services, but we will make every effort to work with you to provide suitable payment options.
